To work in conjunction with other onboard personnel towards achieving the Company's stated principles and objectives.



The Electrician Engineer is responsible for:

  1. The safe operating condition of all electrical and control installation onboard the ship. Ensuring that safe working practices are followed throughout his duties.
  2. Proper record-keeping of all maintenance and repair work of the vessel’s electrical and electronic equipment.
  3. Ensuring that adequate supplies of spare parts are kept in accordance to normal maintenance requirements.
  4. The Electrical Engineer is responsible to the Second Engineer for:

a.   UMS test schedules, alarm test etc.

b.   Assistance during maintenance as required over and above electrical equipment maintenance.

c.   First level maintenance of communications, radio and navigation equipment.
